Uni Mixed Indoor Nationals 2006 Tournament Report The rumors are true, Cardiff NoFrills are champions! A small but highly skilled (and incredibly fit!) team were sent to Student Indoor Mixed Nationals in Sheffield this weekend and returned victorious. Cardiff beat local rivals Mythago (Bristol) in the semi-final to set up a rematch of the Student Indoor Nationals final against Ro Sham Bo (Edinborough). Leading 8-4 going into the cap after 30 minutes, it was a game to 10. Ro Sham Bo started to pull back, but after a superb lay-out score from Katie DJ it looked like NoFrills had it. However, with ladies MVP Taz being marked by one of the Ro Sham guys it went to 9-9 and suddendeath. After a total of 48 minutes ironman play from the majority of the team, it was left to men's MVP James to grasp a Taz hammer in the zone and bring home the victory! I'd just like to say that it was a pleasure playing with everyone this weekend and that I hope everyone isn't suffering too much today after all the effort they put in. We are the champions!
